I recently took part in an art exhibit with several others of a local art group. The theme was "Back to the 80s" and was about 80s movies. I'll share the small dumb little text descriptor I added with them.

"I grew up with the Back to the Future series, watching it with my father. It was, and still remains to be, my favourite movie(s) and I continue to marathon it to this day, at most every couple months apart. Although I wanted to represent all three movies in their own piece, I had to resist putting more than was probably possible, or wise, into each one. I instead focused on specific scenes from each one."

Holy hell the physical and mental exhaustion that followed these. It was due Feb 29th and I was on SUCH a tight deadline, into the last week and barely anywhere with these. I took too long to narrow down the mere CONCEPT and to decide HOW I was going to do these (Note: I wanted to do vectors or simple shape based style, as well as more of a collage.) I had to bail on pre-engagements to finish, slept poorly and ate poorly with increasing stress.
The thing is, the due date being the 29th was one thing but I had to get it printed by the 26th. And I was leaving town on the 27th to return ON the 29th. Not only that but you had to get it in by 5pm and if you couldn't you only had the option to deliver it EARLY -if- you scheduled it with the organizer. So..shit. Now I was not only on a time limit b
