Description
The thundering crash of the water caressed my ears as the icy cool mist streaked towards me, coating my face in a fine sheen. The sweat from my long hike rolled down my arms, searching for the moss covered rocks beneath my feet. My eyes never moved from the hypnotic dance of the cascading water. The wall of rock behind me stretched up what seemed like twenty feet before arching to cover my head. I had found an indentation in behind the fall. A comfy space. A spot that seemed to have been scooped out by the living God himself, just for me. A marvelous place that set me high above the pool below. Sticks seemed like twigs, and logs like sticks.
I soon found myself leaning the rock wall. A shiver ran down my spine as the chilly rock removed the final bits of exhaustion from my weary body. Before I knew it I was sitting. The moist ground soon soaked my pants. The dampness began mingling with my skin. I didn’t care.
My gaze had moved to the reflecting pool beneath me. Soon, I was mesmerized by the play of falling upon the pond below. The rippling and seething of surface seemed to echo life itself. So many problems are just on the surface, but underneath it really is all just fine. However, the white froth seemed to perform an opera all its own.
I could tell it was time for me to leave. The waterfall told me. I picked my self up. Yanking my stuck pants from my legs, I began my stroll towards the path.
