Quiet an amazing piece! I love the brush strokes in this and the colours remind me of a Rembrandt, which is real nice! I love the composition and how her eyes are covered by red fabric. This one really makes you think, what could the story be?

which raises the question, Did the angel lose its wings because it had fallen (i.e., failed, sinned) and so can never fly again, or did it fall because it sought to lose (i.e., reject) its wings? In all of art, I cannot remember seeing an angel who had lost its wings, except in the German movie "Faraway, so close". Was there a specific message you were trying to convey?Β

Recollected the memory, of that one day when I thought it all didn't matter,
falling always felt kind of fake,
like I was making it all up,
and just because I decided too,
I tripped and started to tumble,
just to watch my world spin a little in my head,
stairs rolling under my eyes, and then back over them again,
done falling, and at the base of the steps, a little dizzy, like a lot of sips from a solo cup
I smiled that big cocky smile that they don't like and fell back onto my ankles,
looked up, smirking and thought it all didn't matter and got one lash on my left lat,
ouch - tssss, stung,
then looked down and thought I could care about it all, time for a change, and got the whip again,
two scars on my back, like I had wings and they were torn off, but that don't make sense,
and even if when I close my eyes i'm alone with myself in the dark, still gonna open my eyes,
let the world into my head, I let the lichor in right?
drunk on this floor, fell down the steps, just because I decided too,
wanted to make a show for the woman up stairs, who don't love me no more,
whipped her drunk man, one cause it does matter,
and the second time because she knew I was lying when i said that it was time for a change
hahaha, its all funny,
I'm tired of seein this shit, but I hate bein alone,
so I'm gonna open my eyes to let this woman into my head,
I let the lichor in right?
sometimes it all just feels fake, like we're making it all up,
her yelling is in the background now, close my eyes
and I looked down, and when I opened them, I was holding wings in my arms,
covered in my blood, like I had wings and they were torn off, and all the tears in the world,
no matter how much I let it in,
gonna wash this blood away, so I hung my head and cried,
holding my wings, fallen, cause I let the world in,
hating the time I first decided to fall down the stairs, first time I decided drinking was a habit,
first time I thought to myself that I could let the world into my head, and control it all,
when really, alone I was the angel,
and eyes open, seeing and haven eaten the apple,
I'm drunk, fallen, and my angel whips at my back,
mad at the first day I decided to forget my wings and fall down the stairs.
We can write the narrative as we want to,
dance deviants dance deviants dance deviants,
dance with me and don't ever pretend its real,
ooo, she's cute, she's cute, glasses on so she won't see my shine,
when it lights my eyes and reveals all my lies,
and all it comes down to you is me and you,
shades on, nose to nose, lips inches away,
and Girl you better tease me 'cause I don't really want what I'm about to get.

falls like first snowfall,
new and exciting, signaling cold to come,
