Description
The superhero genre is driven by wish fulfillment. Because of that, it's important for the viewer to want to wear whatever costumes are shown. Every character has to look and be cool. But most people these days seem to think the only way to be cool is to be 'dark', like Batman. I disagree with that. This set is an attempt to explain why.

Superman
There's something inherently cool about just being goddamn better than everyone else. It doesn't matter how committed you are to principles of honor and so on; the winner is the winner.

Wonderwoman
Double W is dope cause she's superior to masculine men in the main ways they would normally define themselves as such. She is cool as the embodiment of traditional, animalistic strength, with the help of some fantasy magic of yester-age.

Batman (Movie costume, no redesign by me; cause you can't improve on perfection)
Batman doesn't use a gun, cause he doesn't need to; he IS a gun, and this costume embodies that. There's a reason every riot police uniform designer around the globe has been copying this suit since it came out: it's the ultimate costume for intimidation; a tactical black mechanistic musculature (with demonic looking horns and wings for good measure of course).

Green Lantern
Green Lantern is a man whose power comes from his creativity, like many people in real life, and as such he can have a rock star-like appeal to him.

Flash
Speed is fun, man. It should look fun.

Aquaman (Jim Lee's awesome design with very minor edits by me)
I don't know what they were thinking when they rejected this Jim Lee design. 41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lxd… It makes him look royal and cool and everything he needs to be without actually changing anything fundamental to the original design. Easily the best redesign yet, but never used anywhere. You deserve better, Jim.
