It's the fact that I searched Alex Kidd and he only has 400 search results here and Sonic has over 800,000 : ( I see your point. but at least he's on SEGA SUPERSTARS TENNIS ^^

Great work on him! Just for seeing this art, I'll be playing Miracle World today. (Yeah, like I needed an excuse for that!)
Sega should bring back this old guy, now with Steam, Xbox Live and all that stuff, he could return in a 2d game, even if the graphics were in 3d. Well, Sega apparently heard it's fans on the fact that Sonic was looking weird in Sonic 4, and decided to rework his sprite... so maybe there's some hope.

miracle world was my favourite, followed by shinobi world. there was another one which was super weird, but the name escapes me.
worst was the techno world game since i always got stuck.

Pretty weird game, alright. Well, the Techno World is actually a hack from another game, Anmitsu Hime, where the main character is a japanese young girl. Well, I believe you got stuck after the first platformer area, right?
To get the real checkpoint pass in that area, you have to go to the shrine where you can pray, and pray 100 times! Sadly, I joke you not.

yes, lost stars is the other one. i only remember it because there was an enemie that fired projectiles out his butt :/
also, i never mananged to get out of the castle in techno world. id get stuck then annoyed and fall down the broken stairs and die.

Sega just needs to stfu and revive all it's awesome older franchises. Streets of Rage, Alex Kidd, Shinobi, Golden Axe and...all that other cool stuff. Beast Rider was a decent reboot for Golden Axe, but with a lot more tweaking, some co-op play, and moar awesum, we should get a spectacular sequel.
