My first miniature blade up! I have always been a fan of the book and music for "Phantom" and when I saw the 2004 movie I fell in love with The Phantom's Red Mask of Death costume ESPECIALLY the death's head cup-hilt rapier he wore. Since I was trying to consider ways of maybe letting know I had feelings for him. I had made a reference to him as my "Angel of Music" and since it is customary for me to make my friends miniature birthday weapons, I decided that I'd make him the rapier, mask, and rose. The blade I made from a nail that was hammered, polished, and given a slight edge. The tang is wire-wrapped and since I couldn't find the perfect skull-shaped bead, I made the distinctive hilt out of silver sculpey (tools and sculpey courtesy of chibilink!) The rose and mask were made from Sculpey as well. Well, it's a good thing he liked me, because if he didn't it certainly would've been a dead giveaway and a really awkward situation. So, here it is.
