Description

Hooray, it's Nagare~

He is a kappa and the spirit of the river near Unsei's tea shop. While Unsei and Maneko go fishing one day, he grabs their rod and tries to drag Unsei into the river to drown him. Maneko ends up having to dive down, save Unsei and beat up Nagare. The kappa ends up spilling the water on his head disk and turns powerless. Maneko tortures Nagare further by holding him upside down (in his miniature kappa form) until he's nearly dehydrated. Unsei takes pity on him and refills his lily pad hat to save him, thus causing Nagare to swear eternal loyalty to him. He ends up living in a pond behind the tea shop and living off cucumbers.

Nagare is the extremely faithful and obedient type, and calls Unsei his master and Maneko the mistress. He likes collecting the swords of samurais he's drowned, and is an excellent swimmer and fisher. He's pretty much passive over anything that doesn't involve him, and lets Maneko boss him around because he's afraid she'll try and knock over his water again. The kappa often displays unusual affection towards Unsei, which annoys and creeps out Maneko as well.
