Ok I have seen many lifelike renders and I just have to say that this is probably the most lifelike 3-D art I have ever seen. It is incredible. The funny thing is that I still don't know whether or not to believe you that it is not a photograph, but I take your word for it

The one thing that really jumped out at me in this is that reflections in the glass on the picture are actually wavy - that's some serious attention to detail you've got. Awesome stuff.

I honestly am almost not able to believe that this is a 3D design. It looks so incredibly realistic that I'm shocked. This is incredible.

wonderful render, please don't get me wrong but, though I have found 5 inconsistencies that cause me doubt if the whole render is a single render but rather a rendered wall and then mapped over an existing image?
Above the window shades are molding blends on the architrave which you wouldn't have in a CGi but would have if a human hand had worked them, also on the plaster render on the ceiling there is a thickening of plaster towards the one side again which would not be present in a CGi. The reflections in the glass on the pictures are exaggerated more than needed which is quite contra to the skill used in the render of this CGi.
The warping of the image on the wall on the right hand side does not match the natural lens warp of a CGi render when set to a particular camera. Also the reflection in the image on the left of the wall has a different set of blinds (tie ups, you can see the string hanging down) than the ones present in the main image, again suggesting a rendered wall to block out background rather than a whole scene render.
I have my doubts, but I do believe the wall is a render, and then manipulated onto an existing photo. I do believe it would take you no time to throw up for us the block render (without patterns, color or material and light rendering) as it is a simple scene in theory and would take a few minutes to render to jpeg.
If you can as a curiosity upload that version here on DA as well so that we get to see the extent of the work involved.
Please don't misinterpret me as putting your work down, not at all, I work everyday with images for the University of the United Arab Emirates, and my job is to analyze images. And I have, to this date never came across a CGi render that has or replicates man-made hand work errors in them as they are extremely time consuming to replicate and needless.
I am extremely interested to see the block render so that we can compare your extremely excellent lighting and material mapping skills.
