Description
So...Yeah, I started making a Sci-Fi RPG when I was about twelve. I appropriated (read: stole) a ton of races from books I had read; the Chanur, the Fuzzies (which I rebranded the "Thaladar"), and here, the Thranx from Alan Dean Foster's Humanx Commonwealth series.
Yeup.. total rip-off. But I still like this Thranx Pinkerton Security Officer.

I love Allan Dean Foster's books and this insectoid really was one of my favs! The first remembrance of a mantis I have came from a sci-fi comic book in Spanish "Titanes Planetarios", where a man-size sentient mantis travelled in a space ship with human companions... that was 19606 or 67, I guess.

This is a very excellent depiction of a Thranx! I love it!
Oh, and I'm sorry for the absurd amount of refaves on this image. I have great difficulty in organizing artworks.

Interesting...I kept mantises as pets when I was a kid, so I think this Thranx is well done.
