Continuing from the 39 thumbnails I previously did [link] , I chose 6 that I liked and began refining them a little. I didn't plan to shade 'em so much initially, but got a little carried away once I started; I think they did end up helping me get a much better feel for the characters though

Besides this 6 there were a few others that I liked from those thumbnails, the pine cone looking one (#14) and the serpent (#39) in particular. Maybe if I have some extra time in the future I could come back and develop those a little further too.

So next I'll be choosing one, maybe two of these characters and doing a more finished colored artwork of them - will post those up as soon as they're done!
