Wouldn't Vader be Anakin as a force ghost since his transaction to the light side

WHAT KYLO DOESN'T GET IS THAT VADER MADE IT TO THE LIGHT Β AGAIN AND THEN DIED HES JUST THINKS THAT VADER WAS BAD TO THE END AND WANTSΒ
TO BE AS STRONG AS HIM

Actually, he knows his grandfather went back to the light. He thinks of this as a failure, and he wants to "finish" what Vader started when he went to the dark side.

Probably he will be aware of that in the next movies... making him believe that he's in fact stronger than his grandfather... pushing him deeper into the dark side... until only "Darth whatever" remains...

TRUE THAT

Kylo Ren is not a sith. He is the master of the Knights of Ren. the sith died with Palpatine and vader.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

envidia14 In reply to Skijarama [2016-01-28 00:49:51 +0000 UTC]

that's true... but to be honest... there's nothing that can prevent Kylo or Snoke of reusing the "darth" titles... if they truly want that.Β  After all they might be the strongest dark side user in the galaxy (or the only ones) so far...

Anyone with a lightsaber and force powers can become a sith. An ideal cant really die with a person.

It was the whole point of that prophecy with Anakin that the Sith would be destroyed. It got fulfilled at the end of return of the Jedi. The sith are extinct. Dark jedi or dark force users are still possible, but the faction of the sith is gone.

generalkarn In reply to Skijarama [2016-01-27 23:04:44 +0000 UTC]

NoΒ  the prophecy said that Anakin would bring balance to the force. It was the Jedi who misread the prophecy and thought that it meant that only with the sith gone would their be balance.

Dark Jedi exist. The difference is philosophy.Β My understanding is that Dark Jedi are out for their own interests while Sith are more about domination of the galaxy. Ren and Snoke don't seem to follow Sith philosophy at this time so Dark Jedi is the most likely thing for Kylo Ren to be. When you have mavericks like Qui-Gon Jinn fitting the mold of a Grey Jedi, a Dark Jedi isn't that unbelievable.

Besides, I think it was said long the lines that the Sith aren't going to be involved in this new trilogy and I think that's a good idea. Return of the Jedi concluded with the Sith being wiped out and it had taken them a millennium before Episode 1 to resurface. Why undo what Vader did at the end of ROTJ by bringing them back again this soon?

generalkarn In reply to Erix19 [2016-01-27 23:09:39 +0000 UTC]

That is a good guess but it has some flaws. While generally speaking most of the time most known sith lords tend to have plans of complete domination of the galaxy and killing the Jedi. It is however not exactly a mandate (well except hating the Jedi part) Some Sith lords in history tend to just use the dark side for whatever suits their needs. Be it for simple needs like just using it to kill anyone who opposes them. To the more drastic of simply wanting to kill Jedi. Yeah trust me the line seprating Dark Jedi and Sith can be really thin. Most of the time it forces people to just pay the most attention to the more well known sith lords rather then all of them in general.

Perhaps. However, fact remains that Kylo Ren is not a Sith. I think it was stated by Word of God. There was also a video on Youtube that talked about the differences between a Dark Jedi and a Sith and Ren fits the former over the latter.

True Ben currently fits under a dark jedi for the time being but it does not mean he can not become a sith latter on. Whos word of god? unless you mean J.J

Erix19 In reply to generalkarn [2016-01-28 02:24:08 +0000 UTC]

I tend in speak in tropes. Word of God is indeed Abrams. Even Ren's trope page says he's not a Sith in title or creed.

generalkarn In reply to Erix19 [2016-01-28 02:51:24 +0000 UTC]

J.J has lied before. And websites all to often receive edits over time. Need I remind of the instance with darth maul who was thought to have died on naboo.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Erix19 In reply to generalkarn [2016-01-28 03:59:26 +0000 UTC]

I'd trust this if I were you.Β TV Tropes has tight editing rules so you can't exactly make an unsubstantiated claim on a trope page. They have these rules to prevent editing wars. So if a trope is attributed to a character, it's more often than not, going to be factual. The Sith are considered finished once and for all, unless Episode 8 or 9 spells it out to the contrary which I don't see happening.

My question still remains: why undo ROTJ's conclusion by bringing the Sith back? It just cheapens what Vader died doing and it doesn't bring anything new or different to the franchise. After four Sith Lords, I honestly feel they have run their course and we're ready to move away from them as main villains. We've had other Dark Side users in the established canon alongside Vader and Palpatine, such as the Inquisitors from the Rebels series. We've had Grey Jedi in the series (such as Qui-Gon, given he was a maverick). Why not have Snoke and Ren serve in some other capacity as Dark Side users because Sith isn't the only option?

As for Darth Maul, he's another animal entirely. Let it be known that both The Clone Wars and Rebels series are canon to the films' continuity.Β Before The Clone Wars series began, for all intents and purposes, Maul did die on Naboo. He became enough of an Ensemble Darkhorse that they decided to milk his popularity for all it was worth by retconning his death entirely. He's even set to possibly appear in Rebels. With The Clone Wars preceding Disney's acquisition of the franchise, Maul's death being retconned is something to pin on his fans.

I agree the Zabrack looks cool and has a neat lightsaber but his Darkhorse status, I feel, is unearned. His only reason for existing in the first place was to serve as a vehicle to show the Sith had returned and as an antagonist but like Dooku, he was completely expendable, in and out of universe. People just loved him enough that the Bus Came Back.Β

ITs because lets face it how many non Jedi or Sith but stillΒ force users have actually made a high claim of success/popularity among the fanbase of star wars. Think of it this way lets say their is some all powerful empire (just using as an example) would you be satisfied in knowing that the people who run said empire are hardly any real threats and at best are more of sniveling cowards who barely know what they are doing. Or would you prefer their being some all powerful genius mastermind who not only has an iron grip over his empire and subjects but has even been show to be a manipulator of major events leading to the formation of said empire. And yes Maul did become some what highly popular for in truth very small actions in the grand scheme. But hey got to admit his story arcs for the clone wars was dam awesome. Sigh if only grievous could get that kind of love again. I love the character and his amazing backstory but so many people seem to just think of him as some kind of droid that can use lightsabers.
