I noticed in the second half of Death Note, after the time gap, Light seems kind of dumber... He did get it together a bit more towards the end, so maybe he was just out of practice of actually facing off with another genius, but my initial impression was that the Death Note must be eating his brain.Related content

So apparently it has bad long-term effects, but no withdrawl symptoms... hm, maybe Death Note would make a good anesthetic but it definitely shouldn't for a prolonged period...
