Level Up! was kind enough to invite me for a live demo (5th May 2014).This is the image I painted during the demo.

The demo was 2 hours and I took an extra half hour later to do some touching up.

I got about half way through the video before having to go do things. I really like you're process. I've tried doing it with just values first but it makes more sense to do with color as to no have to redo it over. You are an amazing artist.Β

Well, different artists use different techniques. Just go with one you're comfortable with.

I'm still kind of new to art. I just finished my first year at a college that seems very similar to the one you teach at. I never took art classes in high school but i did some 3D modelling so I'm a bit better at that. I'm still messing around with different styles and processes to speed up the time it takes for me to do 2D art. I spend way too much time on the tiniest of details
