How did I miss this piece?Β
The human (? maybe human) is a great mix between interested and 'going to risk drowning interested.' The circular lines of attention help. Β Also help in pulling the attention.
But omg the painterly style of the (maybe mermaids?) is brilliant! At least from a confirmed mermaid lover, these ladies felt less specific in coloring and details but at the same time I can feel more of their personalities.Β
All of these ladies made me feel like 'oh you're so cute!" first of all and then 'oh noes I'm gonna get eaten!' You do the most fantastic expressions between "I'm okay with this" to "You're all gonna die!" (thinking of that lovely zombie piece you posted resonantly.' But seriously the painterly quality helps bring the idea of the mermaids and they are brilliant.

Beautiful picture! Reminds me a lot of Percy Jackson and the lake at Camp Half-Blood with naiads, and well, I asume that it's naiads judging by the depth of the water - also Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire of cause
