it's a sphinx on her day off from telling prophesies and riddles. not a very Egyptian sphinx though. so here she is, having a cup of tea and reading a book.Related content

That's definitely a Grecian sphinx and she's very beautiful. (Ancient Egyptian sphinx are male with a man's head, a lion's body, no wings, and are guardians but not riddlers.) I guess my point is, it doesn't need to be like anything because it's absolutely gorgeous!

Little known fact. What is considered the phinx is actualy a defaced statue of a lion. The human part thats seen today is far younger of a carving than the rest of the body. Makes you wonder what else the egyptians defaced.
