She's not quite a traditional Sphinx, in fact if I didn't include 'Sphinx' in the title I doubt most people could figure it out lol. She's more like a cross between... a seraph and a harpy? I dunno haha. I like her this way though. And as an added hint, the page she's looking at in the book is at the chapter on Sphinxes. Credits to Wikipedia.

Nah. Woman's face, lion's body, eagle's wings, and fond of knowledge. She's obviously a sphinx! And an adorable one!

Looks like a normal sphinx to me. The only real thing that would have said otherwise would be the paws, which normal sphinx have 4 toes if I recall correctly.

yeah if I recall correctly there's a legend where a sphinx blocked a path to a city where noone who be allowed to pass unless they answered her riddle correctly, 'what walks on four legs in the morning, two at noon then three in the evening' after a few weeks of blocking said path a traveler crosses paths with her and answers her riddle correctly with 'man'. with this the sphinx screams in frustration and flies away denied her meal (yes she ate those who incorrectly answered).
