Fantastic piece I commissioned some time ago. Artist & stock account long-gone, sadly. No 'mature' tag because you can't see anything that's not on broadcast network TV.It's a photomanipulation people...not real!! This is how Ariel should've looked when Ursula gave her legs!
Also, this is what Aquaman's old girlfriend Dolphin looked like, as well as Fathom from the Comico series 'Elementals,' & lastly Marrina from 'Alpha Flight.' Comic fish-girls set in human form...git yer minds outta the gutter!! Mermaids can have legs, too...they've just gotta have webbed toes to complete the fishy look! Maybe she's from Innsmouth? H.P. Lovecraft would be proud! I could tint her skin blue & call her Lagoona from Monster High! ...The Creature's niece. Well, considering the category alone tells you it's photo-manipulation, this comment kinda made you look like an ass.
If you'd taken literally a second to just glance at the description or anywhere near it, you'd have seen this is infact not real and is very much art since it's a manipulation, which is obviously well done if you mistook it for the real thing. :/
There was no need to go and slander it, saying it's ew and inartistic. Sure, she commissioned it and she didn't do it herself, but it's still art nonetheless.
I agree she didn't really need to be naked taking the photo though. I hate it when I see half-naked, over sexualized women on the front page, because imo it isn't really art, it's just looking for attention. But the excessive amount of skin isn't really what drew me to this, especially since she herself is out of focus, I just saw the webbed foot and was curious as to whether it was real or handiwork. If it had of turned out to be real I would've been questioning why it was on the front page aswell tbh
& your claim on it being on the front page because "there are thousands of creepy horny fetish weirdos" is kinda invalid, I've scrolled through 3 tabs of the comments now and have yet to see one overly creepy and weird comment. There may be some further on but obviously not as many as you're stating.
There's plenty of people just asking if it's real, who obviously didn't take time to look at the category, and many others saying it looks weird/cool/creepy and other statements of the sort.
It was wrong of her to upload a commissioned piece with no credit, and the lack of clothing could've been done without, but other than those two there isn't much wrong with it, yet you're treating it like it's the worst thing on this site.

Okay, a lot of what you just said is 100% true- and I can totally relate to wanting to share my opinion on things like that. However, looking at the description, I think the webbing is prosthetic or photo-manipulation- which makes sense: if you look to the right of the piece, you'll see there are drawings, manips, etc. of webbed hands and feet.
Honestly, the only thing I can find 'wrong' about this photo is that the person who uploaded it did not actually make it- they commissioned it- and they aren't giving credit (it's not even their art, they shouldn't be posting it as though it is). Aside from that....
By the by, if you scroll down the comments, quite a few are essentially shorter versions of you own: 'This is weird...' 'Uh That person is naked' 'E-Eww... I mean cool, but ew. ;_;' 'Webbed feet=no views set naked with webbed feet=front page Yeah I know where the most of the community's mindset is, and it's not a good place. We're better than this people....you don't need to get naked to get views just grow up.'
