First, ways to improve the next time you are in Brooklyn Heights, looking across the River. I think you used too wide a lens. The buildings at left of the frame are extremely bent (as wide angle lenses do) which makes them even more uninteresting than they already are. If you could shoot from 200 to 300 feet higher, you would have. Lose the lens. | The pillar of the Brooklyn Bridge is touching the building behind it. I cannot understand why you did not move 50 feet to your left. Were you at the end of the promenade? Actually, I think moving left would have improved most aspects of the picture.
On the other hand, your choice of an overcast night was a good one. The sky adds very nicely. Excellent choice of aperture and length of exposure. You included some smaller buildings along with the iconic sky scrapers. Excellent picture. You can do better next time.

I've read the 'critiques' of your other pictures. Do you really want a critique of this picture (good and bad) or do you just want some more gushy praise. Let me know if you want a serious critique. I'm afraid it will seem just a bit negative.

It's upto you. I've always valued what people wrote previously regardless of whether they were praising the photo or not. If they like it that makes me happy, if they don't it might upset me a little but I believe I can learn a lot from that and as a result I always encourage criticism. I've always approved any critique that is posted on my photos. What you see there is what I got. So if you have feedback that is a bit negative but wish to pass on then I'm more than happy to accept it. Thank you

Beautiful composition, it is clear and crisp. I also love that you chose to take this photo on a cloudy night instead of a clear night which is what I see most of the time. Great job!

Thank you! Glad you liked it. Well I wanted to give it an ominous feel so thought a clear sky won't be apt
Have a nice day!
