Im not sure about this one mate, sorry... I like the aged feeling and the mystery that encompasses the whole shot, but the fuzzyness i cant gell with...

Fair enough. It was an experiment anyway. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.

I actually really like it.. it has a bit of a ghostly feeling to it.
I can't for the life of me think of the correct words in English, so: geslaagd experiment!

I actually really like it. I reckon it's got a sort of eerie feel to it, sort of as if you're looking at it through a haze of some sort. Meh, I dunno, anyway...

I really like it, it suits the mood that you kind of get when you see old factories and abandoned buildings. They're not meant to be beautified, and it really works here. The contrast really could go up a liiiittle bit, but even if you left it as it is now, I don't think it would make a huge difference.
The large empty foreground is nice too.
You know the artist L.S Lowry? It kind of reminds me of his kind of paintings. Dirty (in the 'cleanest' sense here, weird-mind boy) and stuff.

I don't know that artist, girl. And what other dirty is there anyway??

Thanks for the comment

Ehhhh, I'm not really liking this because of the lack of clarity.
Perhaps lightened up just a tad would make it a bit better, but I think the foliage just gets in the way of the picture, there's not enough of the factory to make it a focal point?
Maybe a little less of the ground in the shot?
I'm definitely no critic, but I thought I'd toss in my 2 cents

Well thanks for the feedback
As said, it's a bit of an experiment.

I think the first thing I noticed is that the contrast is a little low in the photo. This is especially noticable with the large black border you've created, and the only bit of the photo that comes even close to the black end of the range is the shrubs in front. It makes the shrubs really stand out, bringing attention away from the actual subject of the photograph.
Compositionally, I think the factory should be lower in the frame, and more of the lawn cut out. You've placed the horizon at about 1/2 way vertically, and I think it would be better served at about 1/3 from the bottom. The shrubs are also once again highlighted in their location right in the middle of the photo.
One of the more dynamic and unique features of the photo is the chimneys. Giving those some more breathing room at the top would help enhance this aspect in my opinion.
I like the graininess in the photo, but it bothers me a little bit in that the graininess looks too "digital". Some of it looks more like pixelation than grain. I'm guessing that you used a noise filter of some sort for this? I'm not sure how to make the grain look more "real", but it might be something to look into if you try for this same effect again in the future.

First of all: Thanks for the detailed comment. This was a bit of an experiment, so I must confess that I didn't put that much effort in the composition, but I guess you're right.

I didn't add noise, actually I took a fairly blurry photo and sharpened it in PS, to get a grainy effect (this is probably why it looks "digital"). Also, I already enhanced the contrast, didn't want to do that even more.

Thanks for your comment, it really helps.
