Wasn't originally going to upload this due to the issues I was having with my FCs being stolen but... Watermarks (though this one is a bit bland LOL) do wonders, yeah? Hey there! Sorry it took so long to reply, I had to think about this some.
(this is sandopolis, just using my 2nd account)
So, in terms of powers, she has the typical things you'd expect a ghost to have. Invisibility, movement through solids (doors, walls, etc), immortality, flight. Nothing overly flashy. Her power source is likely a chaos emerald or similar type jewel (and she guards that like a hawk). She also cannot leave the temple grounds (not that there would be much need or desire, it's smack dab in the middle of nothing but sand for miles lol). She can also summon ghosts to attack, but physically cannot do much harm herself.
As for backstory: I think I like the idea of her being a highest level servant for a very powerful priest/priestess, and placed with the task of caring for the temple that she now guards in death. Death was likely sacrificial in nature. Possibly one of the last of the town's (now long buried beneath sand) residents and outlived her masters.

This looks great, did you have anything in particular that inspired you? I'm getting Egyptian vibes from Pharaoh-like clothing and the cat design. Combining that with the Sandopolis Zone feel and it's a well-themed piece.

I've been meaning to make a character that fits Sandopolis Zone for... obvious reasons LOL So, yes, she is inspired from that! And I've always loved ancient Egyptian themes since I was a big horror junkie as a kid and the mummy interest expanded into Egyptian history itself. I figured that since my username and interests were a bit tied together, a Sandopolis resident ghost-cat was a good idea since cats were highly regarded. Honestly, she was based a bit off of the goddess Bastet. Hoo, realised I haven't said much about Oasis, should probably add some tidbits on my next drawing of her. Thank you so much!

To be honest, I didn't think it would happen to me as well. But, you live and you learn LOL. I'm just thankful that it's not something I'll lose sleep over. I know a lot of people really cherish their FCs and OCs and that'll really hurt them : (

THANK YOU!!! I've been pretty ok! Decided to take some time to myself and hole up on private Twitters for a bit and take a break from being a public artist and drawing 24/7. Focusing on hobbies and whatever, it's been really relaxing! And I think it's definitely helping the burnout I had done to myself from constantly drawing in 2015-16 O)-(
I'm in a rough patch rn due to my mom losing her job but I think I'm definitely in a appropriate frame of mind to handle it without cracking too much!

As for me -- I've been trying to stay balanced between everything that's going on in my life: moving again, looking for jobs, letting go of people whom i truly care about, and juggling art trades and commissions these days. plus my delusionally hypocritical parents and bad friends have a way of causing waves of depression. i'm just trying to get through itΒ

Wish I had calmed down and spent more time for myself instead of rushing to draw every second I had. It was a great boost for improvement but the cost was now I'm completely (or was, I'm regaining my drive thankfully) drained when it comes to art. o)-( Plus I was going back into humans which I had gotten rusty with. The perfectionist in me was screaming............................"No! This isn't good! Don't finish it! It's not worth the time!!"
It's been a rough year I think for jobs, a lot of ppl have been losing them and there still aren't many open? IDK... Hopefully 2018 will be better, but I have my doubts with all the stress of Net neutrality and the government; yadda yadda lol. Once we get past this hump we'll continue on, life never stops rolling!
And I'm sorry you got quite a bit of stress going on there! Moving definitely suuucks and like I said, jobs are...Just wildly difficult. What is available isn't even close to livable in terms of wage :/ I've been slowly trying to downsize my physical items as much as possible due to how frequently I move around. Sorry to hear about your family and friends too, I pretty much cut my family out besides my mom. Left a lot of friends behind from Sonic, it's just too much sometimes. It's part of why I wasn't drawing or posting. I wanted a break from everyone and everything and a fresh start. Didn't want to be held back by the person I was in high school! But you know what they say, you can't pick your family but you can pick your friends. Hopefully 2018 will treat both you and me better, or hand us a better deck of cards to work with

Yeh those periods where you can't motivate yourself to draw, i've gone through a few of them, so i'm guessing the pace that i'm going at is good enough. like you said, maybe if i pushed myself to produce more, i'd easily burn out too. hahaha omg ikr!! A perfectionist could definitely identify another, especially based on your artwork and their perfect PERFECT lines!! I am that way, i am particularly OCD about all my crap so that's why i take so darn long to do crapΒ lmaoΒ
yeah this year wasn't very easy. i honestly thought things would have changed a lot more on my end since the beginning of 2017, but hope shall not be lost. This year was both good and bad tbh...I graduated... but personally I wish I had done a lot more and put effort into things. I guess 2018 I'll try to do that, and work on having a more positive outlook. This year was a lazy year, but I think I needed to be a little lazy to kick my ass into doing stuff o)-, New year, new me (for as long as I can hold out at least ADSHJSD)

God, and we just moved here in August. Now we're moving in two weeks T_T) Thankfully me and my mom didn't unpack much but weeh moving is so exhausting. You'd think you'd get used to it from doing it so frequently but it never works out like that!

Used to live in Maryland, wasn't thrilled when I first moved there (from Virginia lmfao) but quickly grew to love the area we were in. Access to metro, buses, stores and outlets at very close walking distance. It was great for me since I fear driving. Virginia is just... dreary, southern, and if you're not in hick land then you're with the snobby rich people. Lack of care from companies and people. Idk, it's just a very miserable place LMAO. The only reason I didn't like Maryland at first was because of the total difference in how the schools were run. Spent middle school years pretttyyyy alone. However considering how heavily bullied I had been the entire time I was in Virginia? It wasn't even that bad.
I've moved over 7 times, they've been either 7+ year long stays or half year long stays. You'd think we'd learn to not have so much junk, but I think we keep thinking "this will be it, this is the last time we move for a while" (well, at least I did). Definitely glad my mom's getting serious about selling our stuff this time. We have a lot of "antiques" (shit family gave us because they were too lazy to toss it themselves). Most of which my mom hasn't noticed I've been clearing away

my teen years in school were also very lonely, only because i was homeschooled since 3rd grade,
and it was hard making real friends, but they come and go -- you make new ones all the time
but daaaaang that's a lot of house moving!! hahah you're so funny!! omg my mom is a hoarder in her own
way and i'm also trying to help her get rid of I know a lady who has a very nomadic gypsy lifestyle,
and it seems to work for her. She likes to travel, and she only stays months at a time at each place, works
and lives and then moves to another location. it sounds like a nuisance but also seems like a great adventure too

The divide is so odd It's like. literally one side of the street is mini mansions and the other side of the street is rundown apartments from the 1950s LMAO.... At least it's like that in the city areas from what I've seen. The ...southern part? is just typical rural southern type living I guess? farms, miles away from neighbors, weird house right alone the road. It's an odd state.
YEah same with my mom... I try to not toss anything too personal of value to her like things that were from her mom but it's like...sometimes you need to let shit go and not keep around dumb nick-knacks. I know I can be a mini-hoarder of my own, but then again I can easily toss things without a care. I definitely want personal things but I don't want anything that takes up more than 3 crates. Right now my desk items take up 2 crates....and that's just my desk! I wanna get to that nomadic small amount of stuff, enough to have my own personal touch but not enough to fill a room (or two). Hell, I'd be totally content with a tiny studio apartment! Shitty bed, desk...glass cabinet maybe and that's all. Couple plush toys and personal items, plants which can be easily bought and disposed for decorating, and then ofc necessities.
