I don't agree with the statement, but I do like the composition (:

Thanks for your honesty.  I'm not sure that I would always agree with it either... but then I would like to believe that it could be so.

Glad you like the composition.  As simple as this seems to be, I struggled with it.

optimism itself is only a kind of weakness and an escape from thinking about life's difficulties. it is very easy to take advantage of optimists. but when it comes together with strong will to fight for one's beliefs and with self-confidence, then it is worth something. of course, to some extent. people need to be aware of reality. because believing that nothing bad will ever happen is kinda foolish

well, then you did a really gret job. there is a very smart balance between ligth and darkness. and (as I look at the photo again) I can also notice you followed (consciously or not) the rule of 9 equal rectangles, which always makes the compositon look professional

I'm well aware of the realities of life, dear.  I've never been a fan of the so-called 'ostrich' approach to life, and I've been a determined realist for some time now.  Unfortunately, that can ~ if allowed to ~ evolve into full-blown pessimism and depression.  And I'll be damned if I travel too long, too far down that road.

I'm trying to stick with the glass half-full for now.  While I'm in the mood

yeah, been there, done that. I suffer from depression. but with time, I learned how not to fight againt it, but to fight on the same side. it is my most favourite companion now. the real fun begins when the glass is completely empty. and you fill it with sand just to play a joke on the universe

Thanks Yadi ! Found this gem off the beaten path in a 'forgotten' section of my hometown, and knew as soon as I saw it that I had to share it
