Description
This one was quite easy to do, took me about 6 hours and I had fun. I didn't want to make anything very realistic, I wanted to feel there was something abstract about it. It is not what I had in mind, but I kind of like it.I did not want to do details, but the mask and the chest plate and the lightsaber forced me to add something.
P.S.- Oh, the crystal is a shard of the Kaiburr Crystal, whose story is told in the novel Splinter of the Mind's Eye, by Alan Dean Foster.
It was made for the fan-made Undercity fanzine, which is, of course, completely unofficial and no profit is derived from it.
Attention: This is a Fan Art piece. I do not take any profit from it as Star Wars does not belong to me, nor any of its characters, places, or other elements.
Darth Vader belongs to Lucasfilm, Ltd.

Thanks guys.
I'ts been a long while since I've read the novel, but I think the crystal sort of augmented a Force user's command of, and sensivity to the Force.

While the Kaiburr Crystal can enhance a person's affinity with the Force, a shard of it can be used as the focusing crystal of a lightsaber. What's more interesting is that the crystal enhanced Vader's connection to the dark side of the Force to the point where he could generate Kinetite, a variant of Force Lightning, which is otherwise impossible and life-threatening due to his delicate life support system in his suit and artificial limbs. The drawback is that the Kaiburr Crystal eroded Darth Vader's self-control and made him want to kill Luke and Leia when his original plan was to capture them.Β The crystal is also very rare according to the Star Wars wiki. It seems to effect force users in varies ways.

Ah, before there was the Force, Lucas thought about making the Kaiburr Crystal as a sort of Holy Grail-type plot device! Why he changed it is beyond me.
But in this iteration, what does the crystal do, exactly? I'm not too terribly familiar with the mythology that goes with the millions of Star Wars novels there are in the universe.

Vader has a good story. he was only driven to the path of the Sith for the fear of losing Padme, which happened anyways and turned him into who he is now. this piece makes me think of Vader staring into the crystal and reflecting about Padme sorrowfully

Great use of lighting! Even the darkest Force users still love and are intrigued by the Force!
Critique: His hands could use fingers, and the hand with the crystal should have a red glow as well. Even the face should, but that would make it too aggressive...
Given the wind direction, the bottom left cloak should be pressing against his back, not away... but that's just me!
Great job, great mood!

Thank you for the help! I appreciate it!
I have improved a lot, I guess, but I haven't had time to do anything for fun...
As for the fingers I have a very peculiar reason: I draw shapes instead of hands! Then when I try to introduce the fingers I screw up!!
But thank you for the advice! I've been trying to get rid of this senseless habit! I think I'm getting better!
The cloak: Yeah, you're right! My cloaks are kinda crazy!
The wind blows right and they go left just to say they can!
Thank you again!

Hands can be very expressive! Look at a few hand models, and don't hesitate to just trace over em at first.
Well the cloak can also show leg position... so you might be right anyway But it would enhance the swirl of the image!

Yeah, kinda! The crystal amplifies one's connection and control over the Force.

I've read the Splinter of the Mind's Eye, yeah. Didn't like it, though. Vader is too sadistic there though he wasn't much fond of causing others pain in movies. Killing is way more interesting. ))
