I bet you love how this ending isn't actually too far away from what happened in the actual ending since it did involve an apology from Korra and Asami more or less telling Korra she loved her. Since Asami said she could not handle losing both Korra and her father on the same day, that is probably the closest thing to a love confession. It is likely they did kiss after the series was over.

OMG! I hadn't thought on the parallels between the finale and this comic.
I want to believe they kissed as soon as they entered the spirit world... but for some reason I think they waited a little longer... and kissed at dawn on the first day.

Especially as we know that Asami told her father that she loved him.
Asami is indirectly said that she loves Korra.
It is sad that we still live in a time when same-sex couples can't openly admit love in most TV shows, especially in animated shows, like Legend of Korra.

Nice comic, this pairing deserves more love than it gets, kinda like how Korra deserves better than one of the blandest characters ever (his name escapes me due to his blandness).

LOL! Yeah... that guy... the one with the scarf, right? His pairing with Korra isn't even the shadow of how amazing could it be if Korra ends up with Asami... damn, at this point I prefer Korra ending up alone than with that guy!

The sad fact about Avatar/Legend of Korra is that it's still classified as a cartoon, anime can get away with yuri, cartoons can't.
I also agree that Korra would be better off alone, I mean, think of the insanity of a female protaganist that's confidant enough to not feel the need to seek out romantic fulfillment with the blandest guy in the universe.

I just hope Korra figures out Mako isn't as great as she thinks... or at least Bryke do some huge changes in Mako's character to become what he must have been from the begining... I remember Zuko on "Tales of Ba Sing Se" whe he meets Jin, as soon as they kissed, Zuko knew it was wrong. Mako kissed Korra in episode 5 but never was true to his feelings and he just played with Asami's until episode 11 when he finally "broke up" with her. Aagh! Wish I could punch him in the face!

Note to self, write fanfic in which Asami punches Mako in the face, then Korra does, and everyone laughs at his pain.
