I was bored. I wanted a new wallpaper. Shit happened. *w*<Well, no actually this started as a perspective practice with Minato wielding a katana and stepping on a shadow. Then Hamuko appeared, then Hamuko was gone, then the katana turned into a scythe, and then awesome hair happened.
To understand this you have to have played/beaten P3. And maybe you won't understand it after having doing so.
Minato looks cute even when I'm trying to make him look like a psychopath 8D; Oh well *3*
So yeah, play P3, I wish you could use scythes in game, etc etc.

Well, since nobody usually does critiques (I guess they feel that one hundred words is too long) I guess I'll give it a shot. This won't be my first one after all.
After seeing more of your quicker and sketchier art like with the Person 4gotten series and the Fool's Tournament comics I was surprised to see that you had put out something like this. It's freaking awesome, though not perfect but hey what is?
First of all, the perspective viewing point you've chosen seems difficult to draw which makes it all the more impressive that you've made it looks so good. I see the remnants of the katana that the scythe originally was, but that doesn't detract from anything really. I suppose the one thing that keeps the picture from really popping out at me is all the dark and cool colors, but hey it is Tartarus and Minato so what're you gonna do?
Overall, a great looking and very dynamic piece of work that I more than happy to compliment you on. Kudos, my friend!

Wow! I can't express how this picture made such an impact on me. I was just browsing the gallery for Minato Arisato and WHAM! Your picture showed up and I was immediatly impressed by how AWESOME it looked. Minato holding a scythe, ready to kick some ass while looking like a somekind of Badass Master of Tartaros was a killer for me. This is simply EPIC! Hope you do more of these fantastic devianarts. I'll be sure to check the rest in the future.

Hoooly shit, this looks pretty badass. Like, Master of Tartarus badass.
I really like the perspective here. It's a really hard one to draw, but you managed to make it look pretty sweet. No derpiness in sight.
The background and coloring looks pretty slick, too. Especially with that floor, it looks unusually clean as opposed to the usual blood-stained and tattered look of the Tartarus halls. Which is an awesome outlook on it.
And Minato, is of course, the coolest part of the pic. His eyes look as if he's thinking "fuck this, this ain't even practice.". You can tell he doesn't give a care about all the incoming shadows. What a guy.
The coloring on his (awesome) hair is... Holy crap detailed. It's almost funny when you compare it to the simpler detail on his clothes and scythe. Well, maybe not the scythe. The red lighting on it looks neat.
Regardless, this still a pretty amazing piece. Awesome work, and uh...
I'll be checking out all yer other stuffs. Keep it up.

And hrm... It's not so much the arm as it is the hand... The arm looks fine, just the positioning of his hand looks a tad off.
But yeah, nothing major. Still looks great.
Pfft, easy? Did you use a mouse or a tablet for this? It takes me hours of erasing and re-doing to get that kind of hair effect with a mouse.
