What makes this image lack 'originality'? Do you have any reference pictures or hypermedia to show similar works?

It is a very nice picture (in my opinion). dragonfly - I see the focus issue a bit differently (even though I must admit - you are a much better photographer than I am). For me, the focus being more on the right hand side (towards the middle of the picture), leads my eye into the picture.Β So for me the slight defocus on the left hand side actually adds to the picture.

What I really love about this image, is the contrast between the warm, autumn leaf, and the cool blue of the rocks. The clarity and sharpness in this as well again makes this a beautiful piece. I love the focus on the veins in the leaf as well as the patterns in the stone.
I can't really find anything to say against this image, you've balanced the colors well and the red leaf doesn't over-power the blue stones or background. The only real criticism I can say is that it's not a majorly original image, but this definitely stands out as one of the better images.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. I love the stark contrast of colors here, and the overall composition. While the blur on the left side of the leaf distracts me a bit, it really sets the other side apart and brings ones full attention to the wonderfully intricate veins.

I would personally have upped the originality by a lot. Photos of nature elements like flowers and leaves on the ground, especially on stone, almost never turn out well.
