Description
Mary Jane Watson-Parker as the heroine Spinneret (from an alternate Earth). I drew this back in March and somehow forgot about it! I rediscovered it this weekend and decided it looked snazzy, so I finally finished it so it could see the light of day before the year ended. I believe this makes MJ the only entrant in the Bootless Series as herself (in a prior entry) and in a costumed identity?Spinneret belongs to Marvel Comics.

This just gave me an idea, especially since she was printed on something of a "missed opportunity" during her debut
As for the image itself, I love it! I found the design..... a little less than feminist, but with all things considered, a good match-up for the fashionista that Mary Jane has always been. I suppose a damsel can't change her stripes, or rather, webs, all at once.

Even though Spidey is one of my favorite characters, I haven't been keeping up with any recent Marvel, soΒ Spinneret was new to me...thanks forΒ explaining who she was. Always love seeing MJ barefoot though, so I'm glad you finished the piece and shared it with us. Plus, you draw such cute feet.Β

I made up only two rules for the Bootless Series:
1. No women who go barefoot as a part of their costume already (that's cheating).
2. Bare feet.
