Description
Series: Gundam Seed Destiny / Destiny Astray / The Edge / etcZGMF - X19A
After the calamity of the previous bloody valentine war, PLANT received a new chairman in the person of Gilbert Durandal who through his incredible leadership ability created a remarkable revival in the colonies. At the same time however, the reckless power of that leadership stirred the wariness of many who were sensitive to it. After the assassination of Siegel Clyne, the majority of those who held similar ideals as he who had looked up to him turned to his orphaned daughter, Lacus Clyne, as their leader. Separating themselves from PLANT, they constructed in secret a stronghold inside a debris belt in space to escape the watchful eyes of ZAFT -- and their activities continued. Similarly, those in the Earth Union military as well as political and financial world heads who harbored a level of caution in their own tendencies were themselves beginning activities of their own. Before long they united themselves, breaking the barriers of ethnicity and nationality to form the secret armed organization known as “TERMINAL”.
The ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice was a close combat potential mobile suit developed by this TERMINAL. Though the basic design was created by the ZAFT Intigrated Design Bureau, TERMINAL secretly snatched the data away and in their space armory factory in the debris field, they included additional refinements. Though technically the X19A only inherited the ZAFT original call number, the result, despite being called a MOBILE SUIT, was what had evolved to become an unhindered, high efficiency, substantially TERMINAL original MS. The units most prominently featured armament is its detachable and highly maneuverable, flying support lifter – cast from the ZGMF-X09A JUSTICE.
The FATUM-01 Lifter is an evolved version of the FATUM-00 equipped by the X09A. Its main wings have evolved into variable geometry, sweep-wing types while the power output of the thrusters has been greatly improved resulting in more powerful spatial movement. The application of these advancements to the lifter gave the X19A unhampered and ever changing combat ability.
During ZAFT’s development of the X19A, its potential was decided using battle data from the X09A Justice, the pilot of which was Athrun Zala. In a similar vein, TERMINAL adjusted the final specs of the unit with Athrun in mind as the handler. This was due to heavy endorsement by Kira Yamato, who played a lead part in further development of the machine. From the beginning Kira had in mind that his own X20A Strike Freedom and the X19A would take cooperative roles on the field. To allow this, the space battleship ETERNAL is used as the exclusive operational mother ship for the X19A and X20A . The machine itself was handed over to Athrun via the hand of Lacus Clyne, who had escaped from the space debris factory to rescue ORB during its battle with ZAFT. From that point on, the result of the cooperation of these two units was overwhelming, recording brilliant military results in a series of battles until the defeat of the space fortress MESSIAH.
EDIT: fixed some fire issues and played with the IJustice's levels.

I've been in Osaka for the past few months relaxing and getting into some new projects here and there. Occasionally hitting Tokyo. In between I finally got my other workstation up and running which I'm happy about.
I was never keen on PINK mobile suits --especially the Infinite Justice. I remember back in 2005 when the speculation ran hard on the "KNIGHT JUSTICE" and "SUPER FREEDOM". Using what I could find on the MG Infinite Justice, I tried to rebuild it with help from the Impulse I had built earlier. It didn't come out perfect but I tried to personalize some aspects of it when possible. One was based on the "KNIGHT" label that it used to have. I was thinking "Knights of the Round" and figured on 12 beam weapons instead of what was installed already. The beam boomerangs which had been installed on the Justice Gundam I reinstalled in the Infinite Justice. The shield houses 1 boomerang, but I added a second (it was removed before this render). Like the Unicorn Gundam, I wanted extra beam sabers on the lower arms, but I took those off before this render as well. The backpack was hell to try and get right.
At any rate, I got tired at looking at this thing. It has a few problems I'm going to actually try to resolve in the next few days.
P.S. I loved when the Destiny got it's forarm cut off....
Software: Lightwave (modeling, rendering), Photoshop (UV texturing, throwing everything together again and again and again....)

Pink? Always thought Justice, And Infinite Justice where Crimson colored; like the color of dried blood almost. Where does everyone get pink from??????? Excellent picture none-the-less though. Definite Fave and Save

Btw the one moment that made Seed Destiny vindicated in my eyes (likely the eyes of the world I'm betting) was when Athrun put that cry-ass, punk-ass little bitch Shinn in his place, and that with Athrun doped up with painkillers, half-delirious from fever and covered in wounds. At the moment Athrun cut off Destiny's right forearm, followed with the expression of "impossible" on Shinn's face; I don't think their was anyone anywhere watching at that moment that didn't shout "Hallelujah, there is a God!!!" and then celebrate like their favorite team just won the super bowl!

I also liked it when Destiny got his forearm cut off. It's genius. Still a good picture. Have to admit though this doesnt change how i think about Justice....Such a weak MS that never did anything.

It Did blow up Genesis didn't it....otherwise would have been no "Seed Destiny" hmmm.....come to think of it though as bad as Destiny's story was.....maybe that might not have been such a bad idea after all!

Exactly! I think the gundam history could do without Destiny. U know even then Justice didn't do anything still.

Considering the series started well, I'm thinking that destiny was really supposed to head in an interesting direction. But it's likely that too many problems arose midway and as a result, the series got screwed. To be honest, the worst parts were the hokey love-stories that were jammed in there to try to create drama in the series. They seemed too random and didn't make much sense. I liked the machines, but none of the pilots were really gripping enough to like.

ShiningPegasus In reply to sandrum [2009-11-04 02:05:50 +0000 UTC]
Yeah the story started well but i found that the story felt like it was a repeat of the first series just with more people to complain with. But your right those love stories were the worst part. I found the Machine designs okay but nothing that made me want to go out and buy a Model Kit. I still don't get what the hell was wrong with Stella, i just thought she was the retard one. Why did they even give her a MS...what a terrible idea. Did you notice how some of the hero suits didn't really look like they took damage? Especially Freedom! He got away with everything except when he got defeated.

sandrum In reply to ShiningPegasus [2009-11-12 13:49:43 +0000 UTC]
Yup, yup, yup.
Gotta sell those model kits to those Jr High school/HS kids. That's the only reason I could see for the "Flawless Victory" at the end of Destiny. Too many issues with pilots "having visions" or "flashbacks" in the middle of battle. I would question the viability of a military allowing 14 - 16 year old kids as soldiers in the front line with expensive equipment, not to mention incredibly insubordinate pilots. I'd lose all respect for a military like that had I had been a part of it.

Yeah those flashbacks were quite annoying. Did you understand their seed powers? Because everytime it happened i just thought they went blind and somehow got more "skilled" with their MS. On the whole 14-16 year old kids being soldiers. They did that in Gundam Wing but the excuse for that was more reasonable then what they presented in Seed. What i also never understood was why they didn't they kick insubordinates out? It would of been the only reasonable thing. It's so flawed.

Shin explained his "seed" experience to Rey or Lunamaria shortly after his battle with the first zamza-zah. Something about his mind becoming clear , yadda yadda. But I agree; at the very least, the Wing boys cried less, with the exception of Quatra. As you pointed out with reasonability, those Wing boys were trained child soldiers working for a faction with no defacto military so I could at least go with it. I'd like to see a Gundam with more adults and fewer children behind the controls.

ShiningPegasus In reply to sandrum [2009-11-16 20:26:14 +0000 UTC]
I still don't see the credibility in their seed powers. I just don't see enough information on how it works. I mean to me it looks like everyone can have "seed" powers and not just cordinators. Then it just makes them become "awesome" Atleast in the UC universe, they went into talking about Newtypes and made it one of the prime plots. The newer gundam series just don't have the history behind why things happen like UC. I think a few UC stories have more adults like 8th MS team, Gouf Custom FTW!

Amazing amazing work! Sorry you got frustrated on it. It happens often when you don't really like the subject but you did wonders on the Infinite Justice here. I love the scene too and I completely agree with you about IJ cutting off Destiny's arm. That was awesome.
Honestly though, you made IJ look better than the animated series did. At least you controlled its pinkness. Lol! I really liked the Orb Insignia as well. That was a nice touch. Great job despite being tired of doing it for a few days.

Do you think the pilots get carpal tunnel syndrome? They're essentially in a cockpit all day for their missions plus all the training etc...
Nice work!
You're creating some epic pieces.

There must be some sort of stretch program for pilots who spend too much time.... piloting. Good question. Guess it would be interesting to see setbacks like that in a series.

Well if you saw any of the documentaries of the second invasion of Iraq, some tank crews lived in their M1A1s for literally weeks.
So I was thinking, if they're doing it, what's going to happen to a pilot in a large robot who cannot casually jump out of the cockpit for a minute or two like a terrestrial vehicle operator can and how'd that impact performance etc...

sandrum In reply to EbolaSparkleBear [2009-11-03 23:38:21 +0000 UTC]
At least there's space (albeit only slight) to move around in an M1A1, unlike an MS where the seat is all you get. There really must be something that can be done for that.

Modeller) this has got to be the best rendition of the Infinite Justice I have ever seen, in terms of model kits...this has got to be the PG Infinite Justice.

Well it's always the other way around...and I mean ALWAYS. LOL.
Haha, I've tried modeling one via 3DSMax/C4D and it's frickin' hard, so yeah I know how hard and how long it takes to pump out one and getting everything right so much respect in taking your time to make sure every detail is there. *bows*
Hell yeah, too busy with work so I've got no time to do "my art" so yeah.
Well right now...not to boast but I'm somewhat 4 years behind him in terms of building skill and toe-to-toe in terms of paint. I'm trying to catch up but life won't let me. LOL

Actually I found modelling in 3dsmax difficult as well. I wasn't used to having the modeler and renderer in the same program. In that respect, I found modo and lightwave much easier to use. That's just me, of course. I totally understand the work part though.... Life is one tough bastard.

Yeap, like my co-worker said (and she's 56yrs old) "Life's a b|tch and then you die." LOL but I could sneak in a sketch or two when it's not busy! XD
