Sumuru then ended her speech and returned to her private hideaway inside the pyramid.

Meanwhile, a group of Sumuru soldiers were guarding the Southern watchtower, among them 21-year old Tanya McGrath and 20-year old Chelsea Hayward. Both women watched over the vast empty dessert, looking for any signs of enemy landing.

The redhead Tanya struck a conversation with the short-blackhaired Chelsea. "Do you seriously think we're going to win, Chelsie? We lost so many girls in the last engagement, only 56 of us remained. Can we prevail over 1,000-plus strong batallion that they're going to send to take over this pyramid?"

"Shhtt, Tanya! Keep your thoughts to yourself!! If the Sergeant finds out about this, you'll be shot on sight, as death is the punishment for any signs of subordination among Sumuru soldiers. Plus, living as a soldier here is better than growing up in gang-invested Liverpool. Plenty of food, lots of loots, plus the occasional men we used as sex slaves. I'd rather fight and die here rather than going back to the UK!"

Tanya was ready to response to her friend's comments, but she was interrupted by the voice of her Sergeant, Miranda O'Donnell, a 24-year old long-blackhaired woman. "Stop whatever conversation you have, girls! And concentrate on finding any enemy signs. Don't let your mind slip for anything!!"

"Aye, Ma'am!!" Both Tanya and Chelsea responded. "Oh. well!" Tanya told herself "We're in the middle of an Egyptian dessert with no way to go back to the civilized world, now. So I guess let's just sit back and enjoy the ride!!"
