BTW: I figured: There have been several cartoon-ladies and girls in movies and TV shows, during the 90s (but also long before that decade), who acted surprisingly, obvious flirty, while their male counterparts acted surprisingly shy and nervous. Today I can't help but wonder if, maybe, some of the writers and animators realized some own "wish fulfilment" with their work.
Also: I have heard Betty Boop caught the attention of many people back then, and she was created and animated in the 1930s ... I guess that kind of thing was always part of animation XDΒ
