Finished this painting faster than I usually finish over-rendered stuff like this, but what other excusecan I make other than I enjoy painting horned, winged, scaly things?

Aww, thank you again! I've really been trying to be that "badass dragon guy".
Well, fromΒ this piece Β to this red dragon, the gap is actually five days. When I started the red dragon,
it was probably a day or two after I posted Mother Pagan. Since I was "in the mood" sketching the dragon
was super easy and I thought it was just going to be a fast thing, but I ended up changing the design of
the head and rendered it by thatΒ much. Paintings like this usually take 2-5 days.

Yeah, I haven't been making a lot of dragons as of late
(since the start of the new year) but at least this is up there
with the other dragons that I have already painted!
Yep, I'm trying to achieve alright speed with great detail. I think
I'm getting there, slowly but surely.

that is friction awesome! one of your best pieces imo. Great colours, lovely composition, and well rendered in areas of importance. the horns could do with some more study o get the precise form spot Β on, but that is really nitpicky. really good art you ave there!

Thank you for your input. I actually disregarded any researched
horns and intentionally made them fantastical because it had something
to do with the dragon's lore, but even then I shouldn't ignore the form and depth!
