The most boggling thing about the BG was, I spend so much time on lining it, than made it more pale and in the end used blur over it to make the figure pop up. Nuts!

LOL i tend to do that with small images i put a ton of detail into the shading or colouring and when i zoom out you dont even see the details but if i didnt do as much detail in the i wouldn't be satisfied even thou i know its a waste of time and not productive if im trying to bash out a load of images but its keeps me happy knowing i did it. might be the same case for you

Oh wow, that background looks like it was a lot of work. It looks amazing!
Something about her pose bothers me a bit, though. For one, I think it would have been better to make her a bit "smaller", zoom out, so that her head woudn't almost touch the top of the canvas, for the sake of composition. And second, I think her balance is off. if you rotate the picture a bit so that you look at her from a horizontal angle, she looks like her stance can't really support her, the way she's leaning back... but maybe that's just me. Other than that, great work, as always!
