s fault, because she showed me this song/video: [link] **pMaTw5QjM9Q (remove the two asterixs from the link.)However several things helped to create this - as a child I really was fascinated by an illustration from tale, where crowned death sat on the bed (in similar position as in this picture) and chinese emperor lay inside hiding behind the sheets. (found the picture! [link] )
And I can imagine Sarah is feeling something similar like I did when I had mind clouded fevers laying sick in bed as child. (ugh...) The whole room was like inside a ball, had no edges and so on...
So, Sarah's Sandman.
I cant decide if its creepy or romantic or whatsoever...

Whoo, nice picture. Great job on the glass ball and showing that the drapes are transparent. And their expressions are very "them." Reminds me of the dancing scene in the movie, where Sarah first sees Jareth with that shocked expression, while he's cool and collected. (Oh, how I love that part. <3)
I'd say it's romantic, but not the "regular" kind of romantic. Jareth has a certain way of courting. Not so outward and fluffy, but you know he's interested. Though Sarah would be freaked out from him suddenly appearing by her bedside...

I am not sure about anything connected to them, but its clear she is not the queen of this realm - he came to rule there over her in this very moment.

Oh, you kill me with your skillz woman! And I have decided, as I'm sure probably many have before me as well, that it's most likely creepy and romantic - and that's perfectly alright with this pairing ^_-
(though I, for one, lean much more heavily on the romantic side, haha)
And it really does feel so much like it's an encapsulated little space in time, much like the ball you describe or the one he holds, whether to spin her dreams or pull her away to a secret place where she can sleep/heal in isolation/comfort under his watchful eye.
Le sigh. I need to be careful or I could see a one-shot coming from this.

But even without the underlying motif of Death, this picture is lovely. There is a subtle chemistry between them, and Sarah looks rather...happy to see Jareth. I would have had a hard time deciding if she was waking up or going to sleep. But I suppose you could argue that dying is simply going to sleep in one world and waking up in another.
I still need to read Sandman!
