Banshees are really supposed to have grey/blue hair passed their feet and be super pale with ice blue eyes and really scary to see. Tartan is more scottish than irish as well.

A Banshee is a Irish spirit woman.
In most old legends, the Banshee is a spirit of death, where seeing her means that somebody close to you or your family is going to die.
That's just one story, another is that if you hear a blood-curdling, ear-bleeding, nerve-shredding scream, that is the Banshee telling you that you will die.
