Description
“Alright then,” Myra said. “Let’s get started! How do we want to do this?”“Well it seems like there are several jobs here,” Opal said. “To plant flowers, trees and then to water them. We just need to find out which one is the best for all of us.”
“I can plant the trees. Some of the trees that are ready to plant have had time to grow already,” Anther stated. He was right. Some of the trees present were more than a meter tall.
“And Myra and I can cover taking the flower seeds,” Chloe chimed in.
“And Opal can water the plants!” Myra cheered.
“Uh… excuse me?” Opal asked.
“Yeah! Don’t you have a water move of some kind? I mean you are part water type aren’t you?” Myra asked.
“Well yeah, but…” Opal started. “You see the thing is, not all water type moves are meant for watering plants. The water type move I know is bubble beam.”
“You’ll never know until you try!” Myra insisted.
“A water type is a water type isn’t it?” Anther asked. “So of course it will help out a plant.”
“Opal is right,” Hearth answered. “Bubble beam in not actually attacking with water. It’s attacking with bubbles. Bubbles have more air in it than water. So she might as well be blasting the plants with air.”
“Look, if you want to see it so bad I’ll show you.” Opal said. She turned towards a plant that had recently been planted. She didn’t need to take time to prepare this attack. It wasn’t a battle so it didn’t need to be powerful. She took aim and fired a stream of bubbles at the plant. The bubbles hit their mark, kicking up dirt as they popped on contact. It actually made a bit of a mess. It wasn’t quite what she intended. Still, she proved her point.
“See what I mean?” she asked as she turned to Chloe.
“I don’t even know why you felt the need to show her that…” Hearth sighed.
“Uh… anyway. That still leaves us with someone to water the plants for us, though,” Chloe said. “None of us have any good water moves then.”
“Wait, we might,” Anther said. He then turned to Hearth, who greeted him with a skeptical look. He didn’t let it bother him, though. “Have you moved far enough for your Hidden Power to change?”
“Oh yeah, we might have.” Hearth answered. “We did move quite far. But don’t get you’re hopes up.” A small glowing light appeared, orbiting near Hearth’s head. It was an extremely weak version of the attack that she used to test to see what type it was. The light dimmed, and to everyone’s relief, it turned into a ball of water. Not even Hearth could resist a smirk. “Well, I guess we are lucky then.”
“Guess that leaves me without a job now,” Opal said. “I think I will take care of the saplings like Anther.”
With that decided, the two teams moved set their plan into motion. It took them a while to get started, but thanks to the time they set aside to plan, they ended up being quite productive. With their minds occupied with work, the time seemed to speed up dramatically, and so this happened for the rest of the day.

Hearth and Opal seemed to have become good friends At least they are no more in too bad of a mood!
I wonder if Opal would be able to make at least some water by shooting her bubbles on the ground instead... but yeah, that'd probably be requiring much more effort than the usual watering process

Well the way I see it, a bubble is pretty much all air except for a small film that encloses it. The attack also does damage because the bubbles are popping.

I wonder how many bubbles it would actually take to water something... anyway, the story has been lots of fun!

I can tell you one thing, by the time the plant got enough water it would be dead due to the damage.
