Just as their personalities, I like to imagine the turtle guys with very different body structures.And they're ninjas right? I can buy the red but what's the deal with the color bands?? I think they should wear black!!
I didn't draw the weapons but I belive it's very clear who is who here.

Well I think they only got the color headbands so one could tell them apart in the animated cartoon.

I'm always a huge fan of mixing up the Turtles' sizes/builds... and usually in almost the same way. I like to make Mike the smallest because he's the fast, agile guy. Raph, while much broader, isn't too much taller. Just like it's awesome that 5-foot turtles come out to beat up much bigger enemies, it's awesome if the most vicious of the turtles isn't even the biggest!
And yes, black! Or at least really muted colors if they must have 'em (whether that means the traditional all-red or the personality-coded ones). I'm also really digging your idea to vary up the standard gear a bit too - bandages, pads, nice bit of variety.

Genius!!!! I'm a big ninja turtle freak, so I wont overflow this with all my comments and thoughts but This is the best interpretation of them ever. Why should they look like clones, right? And even in the comics they didn't have different colored bands. They all wore red!!! Very astute representation. Bravo!!

I think its real cool, and inventive, that you cut the colours and left the weapons out. It shows their strong personalities so well, its just cool.

This is creative.
In the new series they are slightly different though. Their skin is all different colors. Also their eyes are different shapes. Mikey's are wider and rounder than the other turtles. Donny's are rounder than the other two, but not quite as round as Mikey's.
Raph's are thin and "cat like". Leo's are not as thin as Raph's, but not as wide as Don's. There are other differences too, but I think you get my point.
I do like the way you have given each of them a totally different look though. Makes them interesting.

Leo looks seriouse, like always, his beak is more sharply shaped than the rest~ Mike looks liek h's thinking away, and Don looks mellow, and Raph- well, like I said, short and grumpy
