lately, i've been really into Howl's Moving Castle (Love the movie, can't wait to read the original books), and i caught the art bug and wanted to do some art based on the books and movie.

since i haven't read the books yet (i just started reading the books and i LOOOOOVE them!!!), this is my own interpretation based on stuff i've seen on the intarwebs.

Howl is a facinating character to me and i just love the many interpretations there are here at deviantART. it's a shame though, that there isn't that much book fanart as there is for the movie (though, i love the are for that as well).

what really got me to start doing fanart for HMC is the movie but what made me say to myself 'i'm gonna make some HMC art was Movie Calcifer, played by Billy Crystal.

so, here is my humble version of Book Howl and his "very scary" fire daemon Calcifer. i hope you like it!........

....and may all your bacon burn...
