Description
It was a real pain coloring Papagena's dress, but after that, Papageno's shirt was a breeze. I really like how it turned out....Related content

Thank you so much! I recently re-designed their costumes, but I think it may need another draft. I intend to stick with the same color scheme, though!

GREAT color scheme. It's very Papageno/Papagena. I remember searching Papageno in dA and would occasionally come across this picture but never actually met you 'til now. It's sort of surreal...like meeting a famous person. XD

Funny you should say that, because I've admired your work for some time now, especially your depictions of Papageno, but I never figured an artist as talented as yourself would comment on my "work" (read: mostly rubbish). Surreal, indeed!

Wow, thank you! Your work isn't rubbish. There's always the chance to get better. If you look at my character sketches earlier on in my gallery, I wasn't always this good.

They are such a lovely couple, the colouring was totally worth it! I especially like Papagena's elegant body movement..

Papagena reminds me a little of a flapper, but the dress is beautiful, esp with the colors.

Thank you! I'm glad you think so! You know, I never quite realized it, but this design is indeed very Flapper-esque!

Ha! I was a *huge* fan of the Magic Flute -especially Papageno- when I was in high school
(even copied the whole German libretto from my friend's CD booklet, and learned it in the process... never mind! LOL)

Wow! I try to do that with lots of operas, but I can't say I've ever copied a whole libretto! That's pretty cool! Papageno is my favorite character, too.

Thank you! Yes, I've noticed that not many people do fanart of opera on here... But I've seen a few pieces on "Die Zauberflote". Thank you very much!
