This may be the end of this comic here, and it may be sad, but outside of this comic world Derpy has been announced Safe and Soundly Derpy! I love Derpy and glad she's here to stay!

I can understand changing the voice or even editing out the name, but I don't understand why they changed her eyes.
Anyway, I want to wait until something more concrete comes around. A lot of these things seem to take time to work. I remain hopeful that things will work out for the best.

Well, what I mean is that we're still pretty in the dark on what Hasbro's doing with this whole Derpy Hooves thing. We've been told her name won't change, we've been assured by the animators that her eyes will continue to be derped (despite the edit in Last Roundup), but nothing has happened just yet.
If memory serves correct, the unedited Last Roundup is still up on the Hub's website and the only place Last Roundup is edited seems to be iTunes. I'm sure there's a reasonable reason for this but we've just not heard it. I trust that things will sort themselves out for the better, they usually do.
It seems to be a delicate situation all around so I can understand why there's a slow turnover on these decisions.

It just upsets me because Im autistic which is basically a mental disability. I don't find Derpy offensive in any way what so ever. I love her, she is my Favorite because she is different.
The people that complained about her talk about peope like me like we're Another species.
It's okay to be different in my book and Derpy shown that...I don't think the world is ready for her yet though

this is the part where i would pull a club out and go caveman on that glasses wherein hussies ass, i beleave that it is the duty of all to not do thing they know would destroy the happiness of the many so that a few whinners can be satisfied

I can understand if they're removing Derpy due to copyright issues (the name was originally from some guy on 4chan, so they would probably rename her to "Ditsy Doo", which they do own). Hasbro didn't become a hugely profitable company by taking stupid, unnecessary risks, and based on discussions I've had with more experienced people, Copyright issues can get really messy, really quickly.
But if people are complaining about her being an offensive stereotype of mentally disabled people, well, where the hell were they when Snips and Snails nearly destroyed the town?

Yeah, copyright can be a bitch. Hopefully everything will blow over/work out for the better. After I finished this I went around to see what the word was online and like you said, it might be (most likely) a copyright issue thing.
Either way I hope they don't change Derpy. She's the reason some of my friends BECAME Bronies.
