I have finally decided to make a reference sheet of a random Warrior cat Oc that I made called BriarFoot. I decided to change their design a little, I gave them stripes on all of their legs, gave them a eye patch mark, and added another dark brown color to their dark brown areas because it just looked good to me.(Update)
I am currently working on an animation which depicts the story behind BriarFoot, this project led me to remake BriaFoot's reference sheet. I struggled with trying to find the colors for the line art and the colors for inside of the line art, so I fixed that. I like that I used different colored boxes to symbolize which colors were for the lines and which ones were for the inner, it takes away the unnecessary words that I previously used in reference sheets before, I'll use this method for showing the colors for now on.
Not much is different from the original, I just wanted to remake this reference sheet for this guy. BriarFoot's design is more complex than how I would usually design characters, this is because BriarFoot was only intended to be drawn once. I was just going to draw him in one drawling, and I wouldn't draw him ever again, but I surprisingly started to like this character, and started to draw him more. Drawling BriarFoot takes a lot more time than I would normally have within a character, but thats ok. This little runt is going to have his own animation! So, I'll have to draw him so many more times.
