When you said Midi test I was expecting you to have python scripted a way to rig Midi to the Piano keys and have it animate. lolΒ

Beautiful. I'd suggest trying OpenLabs StageLight Linkin Park Edition ($15) + Native Instruments Kontakt Player 5 (Free). MIDI on it's own doesn't sound that great but those pieces of software brings virtual instruments with sample libraries, and can make MIDI sound a lot more appealing - there are even a lot of nice freebies for piano, strings, woodwind and choir.

Well Kontakt Player 5 included standalone VSTs as well. I've come across a few lists in the last several months as I'm beginning to compose more. They might be helpful to you also.

All of those include both VST instruments and general production plugins (EQ, compressors etc). Some of them are really nice out-of-the-box, some of them need tweaking a little to make them sound more realistic. But hey, they're free.

Nice idea, (may be the outside of piano should be with +reflexion )

but it has reflection on it.. you can clearly see it after 20 seconds.. the problem is there is not a lot going on to actually reflect.. maybe i should have used a hdr map to get some sort of reflection going on.. on the other hand, this is just only a midi test to see how it all works
