well vray has a lot of setting, so it takes some time to get used to what does what, but other then its its pretty much the same as inΒ keyshot, yeah

Thank you! Is there a way to put a shader in the same way as keyshot?, just dragging over the mesh without affect the main texture?, I mean, just without go to all material settings on vray

no, you will have to put the texture on the shader ever single time you setup a new shader, or change the shader itself and then you have attach the texture file only once

what program uses the sss2 shader? photoshop? or is it a program on its own?
π: 0 β©: 1
SaphireNishi In reply to roknese [2011-08-18 12:59:25 +0000 UTC]
its a material shader from the vray render engine...

alright, and by engine you mean a program like paintshop pro is, or you mean a filter type addon?

SaphireNishi In reply to roknese [2011-08-18 17:36:18 +0000 UTC]
well no.. paintshop is a painting program.. when you draw a line you just see the line.. and thats it.. simply said in 3d when you make a box the render engine calculates the lighting and shadows for you and then renders it out (makes it visible) for you...

oh. okay. forgive my ignorance ive never used one of these engines before. can i draw a picture and then it will render it into 3d? or it doesnt work that way?

SaphireNishi In reply to roknese [2011-08-20 15:51:30 +0000 UTC]
well kinda.. its not really drawing.. but its more like modeling.. kinda like claying.. and its 3d.. so you dont work on flat canvas but you can rotate around the object and look at it from all sides.. once the model is done you can paint it in.. just like you would on a drawing.. we call that texturing.. once you finish your object you can render it out.. this a pretty simplified way of explaining it.. but this is what it comes down too...

well poser is only for posing models.. either self made or premade ones.. you dont really create meshes in poser.. you create scenes with all kind of different props..

this is amazing, I trying to make a cool sss in vray but I could not. which preset you used?
π: 0 β©: 1
SaphireNishi In reply to Kayo7 [2011-05-22 20:53:08 +0000 UTC]
thanks.. im not using any presets.. but the presets pink and marble look pretty good.. both still need some tweaking on them to get better results to get a realistic looking skin shader....

thanks babes.. its not really a progress what im showing here but different end results.. im not working this way anymore at all tho.. on most end renders im not applying any changes anymore....
π: 0 β©: 1
TheLordDarkWolf In reply to SaphireNishi [2011-05-22 01:37:53 +0000 UTC]
well they look good enough without the changes anyways, but you definitely see the difference in each presented outcome yw sweety, you always are doing good works though
You could probably even pull off doing a catalog of your personal outfits on your models which would give everyone a wow impression since your models are looking so life like, might as well go all the way with it

I've started to experiment with SSS2 a couple days ago... Seeing the results you've achieve, this option seems very promising.
