Well done . It is close but i would think there needs to be a longer stride and a slightly wider gap between her thighs as she walks

well steps can be long and short.. look at this..

[link]

see.. very small step and very sexy.. so its not about the length of each step.. my biggest problem now is the dragging effect.. i gotta that going on in all my walk cycles now.. and i need to figure out what is creating that.. so i can remove it from the whole thing..

Well then i guess i would narrow it down to it looks like she is trying to keep her knees together

SaphireNishi In reply to degraaf86 [2013-02-18 20:49:07 +0000 UTC]

well look at walk cycle 5.. the knees are really close together.. but still that dragging effect is there too.. so thats not it either.. i think its a timing problem.. movement from shoulder to knee are out of sync and that is what creates the weird look dragging effect.. but im just not sure..

Exactly how did you get rid of the slippery feet?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SaphireNishi In reply to CrwnPrince [2013-02-18 19:53:50 +0000 UTC]

well if i would do it in 3ds max it would be really easy to fix this.. but im doing these animations still in poser.. and poser is really hard to keep thing steady and under control.. what i did now was just go though ever frame one by one and match up the feet till they didnt move anymore.. a very tedious job, but it does do the trick..

I think if you worked on the continuity in her motion with the steps it'd look a lot more natural... also not sure how I feel about the jean vest...I would go with tank top!

Isn't there some kind of import for a movement scheme?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SaphireNishi In reply to ntnlabs [2013-02-18 19:51:06 +0000 UTC]

yes there are.. they are called motion captures.. but that is the easy way to do animation.. and you are not learning anything from those.. doing walk cycles is one of the hardest things to get right.. so if you can make smooth walking cycles then you can basically do whatever you want..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SaphireNishi In reply to Minotaurs [2013-02-18 19:48:33 +0000 UTC]

hehe.. thats still very far away.. first i need to get the basic movements of the body under control.. then its physics.. then moving expressions.. and then talking.. and i probably still forgot a few steps too, so its still far far away from getting her to talk..

I can see improvement!
congratulations babe!

just a thought: what if you make her walk like a regular person instead of a walkway model? I mean, feet goes right in front and not "in between". Maybe a simpler walk might help with dynamics.

(loled with the render time )

SaphireNishi In reply to Joetheone [2013-02-18 19:45:28 +0000 UTC]

thanks babes.. but a walk cycle is a walk cycle.. its basically the same principal.. its one step after the other.. only the placement of the foot is different which results in different kind of hip sway too.. but they are basically the same thing.. if you can do one you can do the other..

*grins* I wonder why you make your life more difficult than necessary by having her wear high heels! It's hard enough as it is to walk on them in RL. I think her hip action is good now and her shoulders too, even if they sway a little more than is quite natural. The straight on walk looks convincing, but from the side I think she might just stay a bit longer on her back foot. Her steps are very short, with maybe a bit too much knee action. The walk is really getting quite dynamic. But those high heels - that really must complicate things! Nice detail on the hands, I just notice that when I walk the fingers are not quite so strongly curled. But the sway to them is really good. Definitely a catwalk gait.

SaphireNishi In reply to FreyrStrongart [2013-02-18 17:48:40 +0000 UTC]

thanks.. well the basic idea of any walk is all the same.. doesnt really matter if its on high heels or on bare feet.. its the step you need to create and that is basically always the same.. just the placement is different and foot of the angle is different.. but its the same motion.. so its not really different..my biggest problem which i have now is that she is dragging effect on her whole body.. like its really hard to take a step every time.. i got that in all previous animations too.. so i need to figure out what creates that..

more on their toes then their heels... typo

SaphireNishi In reply to BigBoy1964 [2013-02-17 15:13:11 +0000 UTC]

well when we step we land on the back of our foot and the roll the foot down to the front.. thats how we walk..

BigBoy1964 In reply to SaphireNishi [2013-02-17 22:49:30 +0000 UTC]

correct but look at how real woman walk on the catwalks, it looks like the tip of their toes comes first

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SaphireNishi In reply to BigBoy1964 [2013-02-18 02:14:20 +0000 UTC]

well if you see them do that they will be fired on the spot.. thats a big no no to do that on the catwalk.. just look at youtube and search for some catwalks.. you will see its always heels first and then toes..
