We can also cross off GenesisXSephiroth. They are rivals, and Genesis wouldn't stop at a chance to show Sephiroth that he is the true hero but in a way, it seems Genesis cares about his friends deeply and is bit of a *cough* (romantic) *cough*. I mean seriously, LOVELESS anyone? But that doesn't seem to stop him from going all out in that one fight in the training room...and stuffing that fireball in Angeal's face. But his desire to be a hero, and be the leader and the best among his friends probably also stems from his obsession with LOVELESS and stuff.

I kind of know how it feels to have LOVELESS beat into my head...I had a friend who went through a LOVELESS obsession. Whenever she left the room, she would almost always say: even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forestall my return. Thanks to her, I can now recite the entire poem from memory...

Hahaha! That poem gets rather torturous when your friend recites some part of it every time a Genesis-ish moment came up! Once one of my English teachers was reading from the Genesis part of the Bible. The teacher was talking about how beautiful the phrase "darkness covered the face of the deep" was and how all those beautiful metaphorical phrases were the epitome of elegant phrasing or something like that, and that Genesis was her favorite part (of the bible). I looked at my friend and my friend looked at me, and she said "To become the dew that quenches the land, to spare the sands the seas and the skies..." and everyone in the class turned around and gave us strange looks . She was like, what you guys staring at? I didn't say anything. I was too busy laughing.

Yeah! and all those strange looks people give when they don't understand something...sometimes I don't know whether to laugh or to just tell them to forget what I said. One of my friends and I hung out for such a long time that whenever I said 'or not' she would say 'or something' (this is a Black Butler joke) and it would be funny because nobody, not even her boyfriend would get it. I am part of an anime club, and they don't watch all the things I've watched so it's hard when even THEY don't get it.

There are some otakus in my class, but they don't know the exact same things I know. The only thing we all have in common is Black Butler. One of my friends is learning to draw anime; she pulled me aside today before one of my classes and showed me this one drawing she was really proud of. The guy was an OC, but without knowing anything, she drew the hair almost identical to Sephiroth's.

for most of my friends, the only part of Black Butler they know is the Sebastian x nun sex scene, and the corset scene.

I like the manga for Black Butler better; the anime, especially the second season seems like it is trying to cram too much fanservice in to small a time frame. I generally like the manga better for everything because it is what the creator originally intended.

And yeah, the manga is better, it doesn't feel like I'm staring awkwardly at Ren-Mao's breasts as she stuffs them in Ciel's face.
And it showed more and got into the murder mystery parts.
And Ciel peed his pants, and threw up from an asthma attack. That was new. It developed more on Lizzie' s family which I never knew from the anime.

Ciel needed that special view of Ran-Mao as much as I did; I could go my entire life without seeing that certain spectacle and be more than happy. I also am not so fond of that Trancy kid or of Claude. And in my opinion, Sebastian is much better looking in the manga.

I really didn't like Alois all that much. Yeah, his past was sad, and I felt sorry for him, but not enough to go and cry when he died. I was shocked, but not as much as when Luka was in the flashback.

I just don't really see much in Trancy. He is a bit of a spoiled brat. One could argue that Ciel is a brat, but any brattiness that Ciel has is just miniscule in comparison to Trancy.

Yeah, Ciel can have his "I want this I don't care how, but get it" moments, but Alois is that multiplied by 100.
I felt sorry for Sebastian. After all he's been through to get Ciel's soul, it's been stolen from him twice and in the end he can't even get it and has to be this child's butler for all eternity.
Now, Sebastian has to teach ciel the ways of being a demon, being able to shapeshift (he took that form because ciel wanted so), learning how to defend himself from other demons that may not be as friendly, and other demon related problems.

Demons prey on humans, but demons also seem to prey on other demons. To eternally be a child's teacher and butler would be Sebastian's version of torture in hell. That would suck. But eternally being Alois's butler would be exponentially worse.

but I don't think church would affect him so much. I forget which chapter of the manga it was in, but Sebastian has to play the part of a professor, and wears a cross. I think that would be a bit of arrogance on his part.
