Description
My homage to the German sci-fi series 'Space Patrol'. This is some kind of 'SP - The Next Generation'.I used Sketch up to create the ships, the map itself was done in Illustrator (mainly) and PS

So the Space French are the bad guys here? This is interesting.

I'm rather sure there's no connection - at least I never saw a Frog driving a Citroen!

Are these Frenchmen or literal frogs we're talking about?

No, some kind of luminous aliens which were given the name Frogs by the crew of the Orion. I guess the English word was used to give it a more unusual sound or feeling than the German word 'FrΓΆsche'. The whole series is on youtube. Part 1 [link] from time code 48:00 to 50:00 you can see some of them.

I see. Then again, calling aliens Frogs isn't much different from calling them Lizards (as with a certain Turtledove series).

The Orion and the whole stuff had been created in the sixties when something like "political correctness" was unknown.

Exactly. I don't want to imagine how a modern remake would look like.Β
