Ruby is, and always will be, freaking epic. He tried so hard to hide it in the RS arc......but it looks like he's finally admitted it. About bloody time!

Yes. I'm not sure how he compares to say Red or Green (the guy not the girl), but he's definitely one of the better battlers. Also, on Mirage Island its clear he has a good mind for strategy as well. So he's skilled AND smart. Love that. Don't have a crush on him though. I mean, I'm almost 30 and as of ORAS arc he's only -what - 16? That's just creepy. Plus he and Sapphire are just too darn cute together. Still, he's one of my favorites.

He is very pretty. Admittedly, I think Satoshi Yamamoto was going for the bishounen look with him.....he nailed it. He and Hidenori Kusaka are a good team.

Secretive. His heart is definitely in the right place, but he masks it with flamboyance and self-centered behavior most of the time. He also used to pretend to be incompetent as a trainer when he's really one of the strongest battlers out of all the dex-holders. Mostly stopped as of the Emerald arc, though I suspect he was still holding back during the non-essential battles. He can also get really intense sometimes. I mean he glared two fossil pokemon into submission without even pulling out one of his team. Just a glare. Not to mention his battle against his father at the Weather Institute. They could have killed each other, and were starting to get a bit carried away by the end..... Plus there's the battle against that Salamance when he was six.... He took out a fully evolved dragon type with three un-evolved pokemon. That is impressive. My point is Ruby rarely lets on about what he is fully capable of. Plus there is the whole debate in fan circles about whether he really forgot Mirage Island or is just lying about it. He does have a track record of lying, but.....he had three people he had a personal connection two die (one of whom was his freaking FATHER who'd just admitted that the reason he was never around while Ruby was growing up was TECHNICALLY Ruby's fault {Salamance again}) right in front of him in very short sequence during the final battle, was nearly strangled by a Tentacruel, saw his and Sapphire's mentors be seriously injured right in front of him, and Mimi nearly died trying to save him.....when he was only 11. Trauma induced amnesia is a thing is all I'm saying. He /could/ have forgotten most of the events leading up to, and during, the final battle as his mind attempted to shield itself from the potential mental scars. It's a plausible scenario. I kind of like the latter, and will be using it in my stories simply for sheer dramatic potential, but it's pure conjecture. I don't have any support for either argument beyond mere hypotheses. Kusaka has yet to indicate one way or the other. I think that's part of why I find Ruby to be so interesting: he's complex. I like that.

Still in the planning stages I'm afraid. The problem is everything I write tends to turn into an epic. As in LotR trilogy length if not longer. Furthermore, I never post anything until the entire story is completed so it may be a few years. Even when it is written I'll most likely be posting it on FF.net instead of here. Pen name on that site is Reikox3 though i don't have much up. Just an old humor fic that isn't very good. The name comes from the fact that I used to have a three way split personality. One has since reintegrated, so I'm down to just me and my overly sadistic alter. Should probably change my name to Reikox2 or something to be more accurate. Meh.

I have about....um.....20 fanfics I am currently working on (30 if you count the ones still in planning stages)Β and roughly 5 original stories (10 for the same reason as fanfic). That's not counting the hundreds (literally) of story ideas I get every day; most of which never get developed. I have an exceedingly over-active imagination. It WILL NOT SHUT OFF even when I am asleep....I have very vivid dreams. Many of which I have a hard time distinguishing from reality which seriously messes with my memory. Sometimes I have know idea what is a 'real' memory and what is a dream. That's how realistic they can be. It's useful for stories if the dream is an obvious fantasy, or is tied to a known fictional source material. The problem is sometimes my dreams are really mundane. So much so that they may as well be from my day-to-day life. End result: I am remembering conversations that I think are real, but NEVER ACTUALLY HAPPENED. And don't even talk to me about the nightmares...... The aftermath of one of those buggers can leave me awake for hours. In short: my imagination is a double-edged sword. I wish it had an off switch sometimes....

I think you're confused about why it's the same picture? It's because that picture was the official release (or sneak peek maybe?) of the ORAS chapter of the actual Special/Adventures manga.Β

I always use that website for the ORAS arc, it's the fastest and most correct one.
hopefully the fourth chapter will come soon, because we haven't had Sapph and Ruby even talk to one another! *gasp* Maybe... they will kiss at the starshow at the end of the arc! I mean everybody was hoping for Brendan and May to kiss in the game so why won't they do it in the manga? It's for 13+
