Samaki and Matteo's father, the king.

His name is Hamidi, (Praised, Commended)

He's so old, he's ruled over his pride for more than three generations, and the braids in his mane are from a local tribe who worship him as a 'godlike' or 'immortal' lion. He's well fed and enjoys being pet, so he doesn't mind letting the humans be in his space when he patrols the outer regions of his territory.
Over the majority of his time as King, he's been kind and level-headed. He wasn't always a senile bastard, but in his defense he is hella old.

For size reference, he is a hunk. He is a bit bigger than Mufasa in the original TLK movie. He's very fluffy and shaggy, and he hunches a lot partly because he's old and partly because the salty mist clings in his mane and weighs it down. If you've hung out for a long period of time at a beach (especially when it's cold/misty/foggy), you'll know what I mean.
