MLPs have had quite a facelift over time! Neat way to portray it. 
I like the top row the best, as far as generational faces go.

I don't like G4s like the older gens, but is a step up over G3.5 and the core 7.
The G3.5 looked look like bobble head cats, the G4s... I agree that they are more deer than horse like but at least they resemble a herbivore

They will think, "Gee, I wish my ponies had been that cool!"
I can't say I like G3, .5, or 4...at all, really...but I AM glad they finally stopped the core 7.

Agree!! that core 7 thing just makes me puke.
I just image the speak of hasbro people when they had the "idea" of the core 7.
Hasbro person #1 : I have an idea to save a lot of money
Hasbro person #2: and what it is?
Hasbro person #1: we are going to fire the MLP designers and only produce the same 7 ponies over and over and over again... little girls are so stupid so they are going to buy 50 pinkie pies and they are not going to notice a difference, all ponies are pink anyways.
Hasbro person #2: sounds great but why only 7?
Hasbro person #1 : I don't think they can count more than 7,and they are way to dumb to remember more than 7 names.
There are not like little boys that are going to trow stones at us if we paint Optimus Prime's eyes of another color.
