Twilight's Brother (or Shining Armor) moved some of the guards from the Crystal Empire to Twilight's Castle. He figured that, the place should have more security. And Flash was one of the guard who was moved.

Honestly, Flash and Twilight are kind of close. They're more like friends rather than being a guard protecting the princess. That's why Flash was developing feelings for his princess.

(One morning, Flash was on his day off)

Twilight: *casually reading a book in her library*
Flash: *knocks on the door*
Twilight: Come in
Flash: *Comes in slowly and smiles* Good morning, Princess!
Twilight: *puts the book down and looks at Flash surprised* Flash! I thought it was your day off? I thought I wouldn't see you today.
Flash: *chuckles* I don't have anything to do... So I figured, I'd go here... *says lightly* and hang out.. maybe
Twilight: *smiles* You know as the princess, I have a lot of things to do... And you're saying that you want to hang out here?
Flash: Oh *looks at her sad and serious* I'm sorry my princess. I'll just go... *starts to leave*
Twilight: *laughs lightly* I'm just kidding Flash. Honestly, I don't have anything to do today as well. And we're friends so I guess you could always come visit.
Flash: *smiles sweetly at her* Great, sooo what are reading right now princess?
Twilight: Flash, you can call me Twilight.
Flash: Okay.. So umm Twilight... What are you reading right now?
Twilight: *smiles* Actually this is a History Book about the past Captain of the royal guards.
Flash: *looks at Twilight* Really?
Twilight: *nods* Yeah, it's about their amazing leadership and how they lead the royal guards.
Flash: *smiles sweetly* cool, So if this is about the past captains... Do you know my hero- I mean Captain Valiant? He was-
Twilight: -The captain when Discord was spreading destruction in Equestria? Of course! He was some of the best Captains of all! Do you know what happened when -
Flash: - that time when every one of his soldiers was down and he just kept fighting until they retreated?
Twilight: You know that story? Wow! You must be a fan of him!
Flash: Yeah, He's the reason why I want to be come a royal guard and my dad as well *laughs* and I'm actually a bookworm myself but ever since I joined the Royal Guards... I didn't have anytime to read anymore *his smile faded away*
Twilight: Well since you're here now, we could unleash you inner bookworm again *smiles*
Flash: That would be great!
Twilight: *turns some of the pages with her magic* Hmmm... What about that time when Captain Valiant-
Flash: *looks at her blushing lightly and thought* She's so beautiful.. If I could just....
Twilight: *Looks at him while finishing her sentence He was smiling so sweetly at her* Uhmmm Flash?
Flash: *shakes his head* Oh sorry princess... I was just *hesitates* I was just thinking of something... about Captain Valiant *laughs embarrassingly*
Twilight: *smiles* Okay, now going back...
Flash: *breaths heavily while his heartbeat going wild*

Honestly, I didn't know where this story headed... But I kind of like how much Flash has a crush on Twilight, Even if it's his day off he's willing to go to the castle just to be with her... Kind of cute if I do say so myself X3 I guess this is just a little warm up before I make more like this! I really love making "Shipping Arts" and "Making stories about it" as well! So maybe I'll make more after this!
