a picture that i've found recently of my grandmother. unfortunately i never knew her. she was a wonderful woman as i've heard.it's a beautiful picture, isn't it?

why don't you retouch it? i'm sure you can bring this picture back to life...

hmm well that's the way it will be after retouch 
But you can bring a hole lot more back from the initial value of the picture and you can remove those stains, maybe bring back some details. Even your grandma would have loved it

...but i'm a bit against photoshop and any kind of retouching,i use these kind of programs only for cropping,contrast and saturation.

Pacat ca esti impotriva photoshop-ului ... este un lucru normal pe care fotografii il faceau de la inceputul fotografiei, nu in PS evident dar prin intermediul chimicalelor.

asta-i altceva. 
nu zic ca photoshopul nu e un lucru bun, dar m-am saturat de "artistii" care pot produca arta numai prin photoshop, prin schimbarea completa a unei imagini. niste schinbari sunt acceptabile, dar nu si cea totala. There are some things which are necessary for a photo,for instance HERE the spots and the mist. but that depends on the photo,on the aim of it,on the photograpther,etc. chestii discutabile, si asta era numai opinia mea.
