Description Oh boy, I finally finished it. I had trouble getting motivated to finish this since I started it before I really knew what I was doing with image setup. But, I just can't leave a project unfinished.

I find that I love doing the covers, pinups, and larger panels better than the small cut up images. I am going to try a few other comic book pages in different art styles. It may have just been the repetitiveness of these sequential pages that wore me down.

Anyway, it is nice to see them done and please keep in mind that this was my first set of sequential pages. The next ones will come out much better!

Excellent excellent excellent... This coloring work complements the story told wonderfully. Lighting, mood, color choice all of that are superb. Would be nice to find this book somewhere. Great job here!

Thanks a lot! There's not too many western style books around. It would be nice if there were. I will be workng on one called Dead Reckoning for Red Handed Studios - it is a mix though, kind of a Western in space.

I hope you stick with it because as a whole- the sequence came out great.

I especially liked how you pushed the backgrounds on page 4 to enhance the drama, but i'd recommend that you take it even further in your next series. in this sequence, you have brown backgrounds in the first pages, that matriculate to orange and gold when the action peaks, and then back to brown at the denoument.

Do you think there is a way that you could have pushed the colors further into a different hue to help accentuate the narrative?

For instance, could you have added red to the backgrounds in the climax, and imagine how the last page would have looked if it was a bluish night scene, OR- if there was an ominous green glow that reinforced the twist of the occult at the end?

this is the theory of "color track" similar to a movies "sound track"

Thank you very much!

Your input helped me a great deal and gives me a lot to think about. I actually had a lot more red in the page 4 backgrounds but I was afraid that they would stand out too much! Lol, I also thought about making it night and using more of a dramatic blue/black to make the other colors pop but again I did not want it to look disassociated with the other pages. I guess I should have gone with it! I think I am fighting all the traditional art lessons that were pushed into my head. I need to loosen up and have fun with it.

How long have you been coloring? You give great feedback and have a nice eye for the details. Your knowledge of comic color shows.

thanks for the kind words.
I've wanted to get into coloring for 10 years now, but I've only been seriously pursuing it for about 6 months now.

How's that book that you ordered?
